This has been a fantastic sailing month!
We departed the marina around 11am once we had enough water to float Monomoy.
There was a Seismic Survey boat in the bayou.
The bay quickly filled with other sailors.
Scot in s/v Clara made it out on the bay.
We were cruising. The wind started around 10 knots, which was perfect. It built to about 13 knots for maybe 30 minutes before settling back down to around 8 knots.
The wind settled down around 1:30pm, so Carol decided to do a little fishing.
Around 2pm the fog rolled in.
This little fella was surfing a board as we sailed by.
Still having a great time on the bay, despite the fog.
Our marina neighbors in s/v Golden Horse were out sailing.
When it was time to head back in, Blake brought us in to the channel.
Ben took back over once we were in the channel.
The fog broke about the time the sun was going down. It was another great sailing day on Pensacola Bay!
