New AutoPilot

Well, we’ve been unable to get out of the slip the last couple of weekends due to the lack of water around Monomoy, which explains the recent lack of posts. We’ve asked the dock master to put our name on the list for a slip just two slips down, which happens to have two feet more water; the current slip tenant is expected to move out in March, the depth is just enough to get us floating considering we’ve only had four feet around us in recent weeks and draw five feet dry (the keel is nestled in a little hole).

It wasn’t all a loss I suppose; we took the time to install a new Raymarine autopilot last weekend (Dec. 4-5), though we don’t have the water to get out and run the seatrial. Monomoy previously had a an ST4000 which had quit working, so out with the old and in with the new. The new pilot interfaces with the C90W chartplotter we installed over summer.

Can’t wait to get out and try the new pilot.
