Blue Angel Weekend
It was both Veteran’s Weekend and the weekend of the Blue Angel’s Homecoming Show.
We strategically placed a vehicle near Ft. McRee Thursday morning in order to have transportation for work/school on Friday, then headed over to Monomoy to shove off for the weekend.
It was a nice enough day for Carol to wear a bikini.
There was only a light breeze, so we poked along, but we were on the water.
Pogo kept Dolphin watch.
We sailed over to Ft. McRee where Jim on s/v Another Chance and Joey on s/v Sea Wench were already there.
We were able to catch some of the Air Show while sailing, but did anchor in time to watch a great sunset and the night show.
Carol and Blake on deck for the air show.
The night show consisted of planes zooming around while appearing to be on fire.
We woke up to a beautiful sunrise on Friday, but had work/school to contend with.
Joey and Paul had rowed off the night before to go meet with lady friends; they didn’t return till Friday morning.
Ben and Blake exploring the shore.
Monomoy and Sea Wench anchored.
Pogo
Dolphin came out and played; you can barely make out a fin.
Saturday Jim, Joey, and Paul came over for cocktails.
Lots of boats showed up for the Saturday show.
Carol and Blake played on the beach.
Joey and Paul had to head back so Paul could drive to Colorado; they rowed to Sea Wench.
We enjoyed another beautiful sunset.
We had to head back Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful sail back to the marina.
There was a sailing race taking place.
It was such a nice daysail back, Carol took the opportunity to put on every bikini she had aboard for a photo session; those will come later.
We had a good time and look forward to the next weekend out!
