4 weekends in a row!
Sept 24-26, 2010 made the 4th weekend in a row that we were able to get out of the slip. There was a really good chance of rain for the weekend, but it didn’t stop us from setting sail.
Friday evening we set sail as soon as Carol got to the boat after work.
The weather was funky and we could see waterspouts attempting to form in the Gulf.
Blake read while underway.
Though the sky was funky, the water was calm enough for kayaks.
Raining…
No rain…
Blake went below to play on the computer.
The next morning the sky was just as funky, but Pogo didn’t mind.
Blake played below.
The sky finally cleared up for a while. Ken and Sheri sailed over to join us for the weekend.
Carol and Blake played on the beach.
Wayne and Shery on s/v Witchy Woman came in for the weekend.
Conrad and Roxanne cruised over too.
Ken/Sheri and Conrad/Roxanne took their boats directly to the beach.
Enjoying the water.
Ben, Blake, and Ken went exploring.
Conrad took Ken’s sailboat “Top Shelf” out for a cruise.
Ben and Blake in the water.
When Conrad returned, Blake took Top Shelf out for a cruise.
Sunday morning we awoke to a rainbow.

After we waited out an hour long squall, we set sail for home. We cruised by a bunch of pelicans out on the water.
Carol took the helm for a bit.
s/v Piranha cruised by.
Ben and Pogo.
Ken and Sheri sailing.
Conrad and Roxanne motoring home.
Ken waving.
We’re back at port and arrived shortly before Ken and Sheri passed by to their slip.
We had a fantastic weekend with good food and great friends! Looking forward to the next weekend.
