Labor Day Weekend

Well, the weather wasn’t predicted to be nice this weekend, so we canceled our Pirate Cove plans and instead just did some day sailing on Saturday.

We cruised out in the morning with Blake at the helm…

Blake was responding to the Coast Guard’s request for all mariners to be on the lookout for a vessel taking on water in the Pensacola Pass.  No worries, he didn’t actually hold the mic button in, cause he knows it isn’t a toy.

Carol was having fun.

After a great day of sailing Monomoy, we returned to the marina for pizza dinner and Sherie provider appetizers.  Later, Blake and Ben took an afternoon sail on The Force.

Blake did some fishing with shrimp as bait.

Later that night we took Monomoy back out for a night sail with some boat guests.  Brice, Jason, Ken, Sherie, and Jason’s father went out with us for a evening cruise.  Blake took some photos.

Jason was pooped out.

Sherie was listening hard to the conversation.

Ken was into the conversation as well.

Later that night Ken and Sherie took out Ken’s catamaran and I took out The Force for a last late night short sail.  Carol took some pictures, but none really turned out due to it being so dark out.

It was a fun filled day/night with great family and friends.  Next weekend is Blake’s birthday party, so probably no sailing will occur, but hopefully the following weekend we’ll finally get that Pirate’s Cove trip in.
